After pushing top seed Tours Volley-Ball to their limits in Game 1 of the 2017/18 Ligue A semifinals on the road (2-3), it was expected that No.4 GFC Ajaccio Volley-Ball players will show, at least, a similar resistance to their rivals in Game 2. But, Tours were dominant, scoring a straight-set win that launched them to the gold medal match against No.2 Chaumont Volley-Ball 52 Haute-Marne.

The Serbian Konstantin Čupković topped Tours with 13 points. The winners had a surreal percentage as a team when it comes to reception, 89%! Čupković and Cameroonian Nathan Wounembaina recorded 90% apiece, both out of 20 digs. Hubert Henno made 82% (11 digs, 1 error).

Ajaccio players were also great in this segment with 84% as a team. Jean-François Exiga made 87% (15 digs), while Brazilian Leonardo Miranda „Léo Mineiro“ made 85% (20 digs, 2 errors). The Argentinean José Luis González scored 17 points for the losing side.
