No.2 Berlin Recycling Volleys outplayed No.7 SVG Lüneburg with ease, 3-0, thanks to 15 points from Robert Kromm. Jannik Pörner delivered 13 points for the losing side. The game, which was held at Max-Schmeling-Halle, had an interesting prelude as 800 children, who learn volleyball in youth categories of BR Volleys, found their way to the court to take a memorable group photo. Before the match, BR Volleys created a social wall on their website on which they streamed the game.

No.6 TSV Herrsching went on the match against third-seed United Volleys Rhein-Main with only nine players and lost by a 3-1, while No.4 SWD powervolleys Düren beat No.5 Hypo Tirol AlpenVolleys Haching in four sets as well.
