PAC W: Canada and Brazil in semifinal, two more spots left

Brazil and Canada are the first semifinalists of the XVII Pan American Cup for Women while the second two semifinalists will be known after the quarterfinal matches.

On the last day of the pool’s stage, Brazil outplayed Argentina after five sets, Canada crushed the Dominican Republic while USA defeated Puerto RicoAll three teams are the winners of their groups but USA are the worst ranked and they will play in the quarterfinal with three second-best teams from all pools: Dominican Republic (A), Puerto Rico (B) and Colombia (C).

Dominican Republic – Canada 0-3 (23-25, 14-25, 20-25)

Peru – Costa Rica 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-15)

Cuba – Trinidad & Tobago 3-0 (25-15, 30-28, 25-19)

USA – Puerto Rico 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-14)

Colombia – Mexico 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-12)

Brazil – Argentina 3-2 (20-25, 25-20, 25-15, 19-25, 15-6)
