Cristine Pirv at age of 45 decided to return to court and she is officially registered in the Brazilian Superliga B for São José dos Pinhais.
In her new club, she will wear the jersey No. 11. Last time she played in season 2005/2006 and she was a member of Asystel Novara.
The Romanian player is an ex-wife of Gilberto De Godoy Filho Giba with whom she has two children, Nicoll (13 age) and Patrick (9 age).
She was part of the Romania women’s national volleyball team at the 1994 FIVB World Championship in Brazil, 2002 FIVB World Championship in Germany and 2001 European Volleyball Championship.She played in Brazil for three seasons and with Minas won title 2001/2002.
She retired before 12 years and became a businesswoman but now she decided to return to court and play until the end of 2017/2018.

Re: @Axe and this is relevant because? What do you want her to do? Work for free? If a male player came out of retirement… People will say he’s a hero and a passionate athlete. If a woman did the same… she’s a greedy old hag who should go back to her retirement house. 🙁
