BUL M: Neftochimic emerge as winners from super-exciting derby against CSKA

Neftochimic 2010 Burgas prevailed in a spectacular derby of the Bulgarian men’s volleyball championship Superliga against CSKA to remain at the first place in the standings.

The second-placed CSKA came back from two sets down but failed to make a complete turnaround against the defending champions and also the leaders in the standings Neftochimic in the last game of Round 17 in Superliga – 2-3 (16-25, 24-26, 32-20, 25-22, 10-15).

An 18-year-old Georgi Petrov scored 19 points (3 aces) for Neftochimic, who achieved the 9th win in a row, while Nikolay Kartev contributed with 5 aces (12 points). In CSKA, a 19-year-old Plamen Shekerdjiev poured in 26 points. Krasimir Gaydarski made 6 kill blocks (9 points).
