VNL W: Serbia were better in European clash, Brazil won the South American derby

Serbia and Brazil scored their fourth wins in the FIVB Volleyball Nations League and after five rounds they are on the second and third position of the standings with 12 points.

Today in Macao, Serbia defeated the European opponents, Poland with 3-1 (20-25, 27-25, 26-24, 25-15) and Brankica Mihajlović was the leader. 

She finished the match with 17 points while on this match Ana Bjelica got the chance to play almost all match as the opposite and scored 15 points. Jovana Stevanović dominated in the block (5) but scored 14 points same as Bojana Milenković.

For Poland, Malwina Smarzek again led the team with 18 points while Agnieszka Kakolewska added 15 points.

In Pool in Ankara, Brazil have expectedly outplayed Argentina who are still on the bottom of the standings without a point.

A team of Ze Roberto celebrated the fourth win after three sets (25-9, 25-21, 25-14) and the result in the first set showed the differences between the teams. Monique Pavão finished the match with 16 points and was the top scorer of the match followed by Amanda Francisco who finished the match with 12 points.

On the opponent’s side, Elina Rodriguez was top scorer with 8 points.
