The Round 7 encounter between Calzedonia Verona and Bunge Ravenna, that was played two days ago, set the new record for the duration of a match in an Italian Men’s Volleyball Championship – Serie A1.

It topped a duel between Da Rold Logistics Belluno and Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia 2-3, in 2011, who lasted 160 minutes.

There are some more stunning details of the match A duel in AGSM Forum, in Verona, that set the new record: the second set lasted 44 minutes, while the tie-break lasted 29 minutes!

The Serie A2 (division 2) game between Gherardi Svi Città Di Castello and Kioene Padova 3-2, in 2010, was officially the longest Men’s game in Italy overall with 163 minutes.

POL M: Czarni sign Slovenia national team middle blocker

Re: @Dee jae69
That is very interesting if it's true. The question is what would happen with Kovacevic and Lanza if Jaeschke and Russell moved to Trentino? I don't think that either one of them is willing to sit on the bench. Reply
