In the first semifinal match USA outplayed Cuba 3-1 (25-17, 25-23, 30-32, 25-20), Hall Elizabeth Thayer was MVP of the match with 20 points for USA although Cuban opposite Casanova Alvarez Heidy was the top scorer of the match with 21 points.
Argentina were better than Puerto Rico. They have finished match in straight sets 25-21, 25-11, 25-9 and Soria Agostina Benisse was the top scorer with 14 points in the winning team.
Both teams have qualified for the 2017 FIVB Women’s U20 World Championship.
Defeated teams will play for the third place and bronze medal.
