A four-time Olympian Logan Tom plays volleyball in New Zealand!

A two-time Olympic Games silver medalist and a four-time FIVB World Grand Prix winner Logan Tom has not retired yet.

A 36-year-old former U.S. National Team member has firstly joined Harbour Raiders, a club whom she helped to win the national title in New Zealand. Right after claiming the gold medal in the top division, Tom boosted Auckland Central Volleyball Club and won a bronze medal in Division 2.

According to the “NZ Herald”, the US volleyball legend has spent her holiday in New Zealand and did some coaching before she returned to the volleyball court.

Volleyball is an amateur sport in New Zealand at the moment, but the national federation is doing their best to make it professional.

As for Tom, the last professional club for which she competed was an Indonesian side Jakarta Pertamina Energy, more than a year ago.

TUR W: Ognejnovic to replace Nootsara in Fenerbahce!?

If Tomkom is kept for next season (though that seems unlikely in my opinion). Fenerbache should think of getting one of her younger NT member as a receiver/wing spiker back up. Even though they aren't as tall as their European counter part, they can receive well and attack too. I'm sure they would be cheaper to higher than most other European options or are they? lol...And they already have a connection with Nootsara, so maybe they can play some fast balls every now and then to score a few quick points too.
