The story of a newly formed Russian Men’s volleyball club that will instantly take part in the top division, Zenit Saint-Petersburg, might not be so perfect as it seemed.

According to “Volley Planet”, Zenit will not be able to close such a powerful financial construction for the next season in order to hire so many volleyball superstars as planned.

For instance, Greek opposite Mitar Djurić, who allegedly agreed terms with Zenit, will not come at all and Saint-Petersburg team will chose a bit cheaper option – Swedish Marcus Nilsson from Turkish side Ziraat Bankası Ankara.

Even Cuban Oreol Camejo (Beijing) is doubtful as a reinforcement of Zenit, as same source reported.

Beat of 7 to 15 and 8 subs per set is means half the team never sees the net and half only serves once per set. Going backwards in specializing the positions. I like the idea of subbing witthout stopping the game and no technical timeouts. Reply

This tournament will be such a waste of time if that new format will be introduced, eliminating the rewards for the teams that worked hard for it like Belgium and Slovenia. Reply
