WCH 2018 W: USA outplay Japan to take fifth place at the World Champs!

552 0

The U.S. girls have finished the World Champs in the fifth place, after beating the hosts Japan in four sets!

USA had a better start in this game, firstly by taking the opening set and later by doubling the lead! The Japanese girls didn't want to finish the game in three sets so they managed to push the match to the fourth set.

As it turned out, it was the last set in this championship for both sides. The United States girls took the fourth set and clinched the game to finish in the fifth place at the World Champs.

Surely, not a result that Karch Kiraly wanted, as the USA were defending champs in this tournament.

The top scorer of the game was Kimberly Hill with 24 points. Karsta Lowe added 17, while on the other side Risa Shinnabe scored 16 and Sarina Koga 15.
