BRA W: Osasco confirmed Peruvian player for 2018/2019

Angela Leyva is officially the second foreign player of Osasco Audax for the nest 2018/2019 season.

  

Osasco confirmed that information and for Angela Leyva that will be her second consecutive season in the club.

The Peruvian star had been training with the team for more than a month to recover from the shoulder injury and now she signed a contract to remain in the club. 

Leyva arrived in Brazil for her first international experience last season. Before, she has defended the colors of University San Martín for six years and was chosen for the best player of the country in those six seasons. 

"I'm happy that I stayed in Osasco. Here I feel at home and I hope to evolve more and more to help the team fight for titles" said Leyva.

As exciting as it is to see foreigners putting up a show for your fans, it does nothing to help the development of the local talents. And some teams even have Filipino Americans playing as 'locals', while still having the additions of foreign players on the same team as well. Why not just have those Fil American count as the foreigners, so they won't take the space of locals? The Philippines ranks #117, I think you guys should get your act together first. Even North Korea ranks higher, has a NT and program, but no league........and that says a lot. lol Reply
