BRA W: Nicole Fawcett save Praia Clube, Osasco ans SESC RJ victorious as well

The second round of the Brazilian women's volleyball championship has completed.

 

The reigning champions Praia Clube have scored the third victory in the Brazilian women’s Superliga.

This victory over Curitiba Voleu was the most difficult one so far this season since they were trailing by 2-1.

However, they found a way to come out from a difficult situation, by taking the last two sets to create a win. Nicole Fawcett was the most dominant player with 22 points in the home team, while in Curitiba Sabrina Machado had 27 points. Priscila Souza added 22 points.

Osasco have defeated Sesi Bauru in four sets (25-23, 25-27, 25-20, 25-14). Angela Leyva was the best scorer with 22 points, while Mariana Costa contributed with 18 points.

The Italian star Valentina Diouf scored 20 points on the other side.

Women's Russian Super League, round 2:

Barueri – Pinheiros 3-1 (19-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-17)

Praia Clube – Curitiba Volei 3-2 (18-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-17, 15-7)

SESC RJ – Brasilia 3-2 (25-22, 25-16, 26-28, 23-25, 15-10)

Fluminense – Balneario 3-1 (25-11, 13-25, 25-20, 25-19)

Minas – Sao Caetano 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-13)

Osasco – Sesi Bauru 3-1 (25-23, 25-27, 25-20, 25-14)

Point is Leon has no connection with Poland, has never played there for any club... His agents first offered him to Russia, and their federation said 'no, thanks', then they went to Poland that was desperate to find a world-class player. A wedding was arranged, and voilá! Reply
