A two-time Olympic champion Jaqueline Carvalho is at the forefront of a kind of rebellion of players competing in the 2020/21 Brazilian Women’s Volleyball Championship against a change the country’s federation (CBV) imposed for the competition.

A two-time Olympic champion Jaqueline showed on social media an injury to her hip when she tried to save a dropped ball in one of the matches of the 2020/21 Superliga Banco do Brasil for women.

The CBV imposed a new type of floor for the ongoing season to which Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde outside hitter but also other players complain. The new court has received numerous criticisms - not only the colors have changed but due to the floor, players slip a lot as sweat stains are not seen on the yellow court, which has also confused referees in deciding whether players violate a three-meter line or not.

“Guys, I’m all in bruises. I went to get a save, and what happened? This new court, it doesn’t slide, it burns you. I’ll have to play with a bandage, protection on my arms, on my whole body. I’ve seen several players get hurt, when it’s wet no one can see because it’s yellow, and many can’t see the three-meter line. I’m all busted up. I’m going to have to play in armor,” posted a 36-year-old player.

She also criticized the colors of the court - yellow, with a blue background - which was an unprovoked change. And when it was changed, the colors should have been chosen the other way around.

Vargas exclusively for WoV: “I have no desire to change my federation of origin“

Re: @George
This season, she sometimes receives the serve in Turkish league. I guess instead of Boskovic, Terzic wants her to replace Mihajlovic. Reply

ITA M: Piacenza stun Milano on road

So this was a dominant and impressive road win for Piacenza. Baranowicz is getting a better connection to the outside and smartly is forcing more middle action.
I have really been impressed with the growth of Scanferia. He and Clevernot are passing much better. With the addition of Mousavi and Russell and Grozer playing at such a high level, Gas Sales is going to make a serious move in the 2nd half of the season.
As far as the league, Trentino has been a major dissapointment, Modena under Christenson leadership has been terrific, Monza remains dangerous, and overall the league is very competitive and fun.
Lube and Perugia may not be there at the end.
The league needs to find a way to increase its exposure worldwide, imo Reply
