Itambé/Minas recorded the seventh win in a row in the 2020/21 Brazilian Women’s Volleyball Championship.

Itambé/Minas beat Esporte Clube Pinheiros by a 3-1 (25-23, 25-14, 19-25, 25-20) in Round 13 of the 2020/21 Brazilian Women’s Superliga Banco do Brasil regular season. Thus, the Belo Horizonte team reached the 7th consecutive victory and maintained the leadership of the competition (36 points).

Thaísa Daher highlighted Minas with 19 points, including 5 blocks. Priscila Daroit ‘Pri Daroit’ served 4 aces, while Léia Silva had 82 % reception (17 digs, 47 % excellent).

With the 5th successive victory (3-1 vs Fluminense) – to which they were led by Tainara Santos (19 points), Tandara Caixeta (4 bocks), and Gabriela Cândido ‘Gabi Cândido’ (71 % attack; 12/17, blocked once) – Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde got tied with Minas at 36 points.

São Paulo FC/Barueri noted the 4th win in a row. At home, they swept São José dos Pinhais/AIEL, mostly thanks to Maira Cipriano (12 points) and Nyeme Costa (75 % reception; 12 digs, 50 5 excellent).
