PAOK have started the 2018/2019 Champions League campaign with a difficult victory in Hungaria!

This is only the first game in the Champions League qualifiers and if the Greek team wants to qualify for the group stage, they need to beat two more rivals.

In a week both teams will meet again in Greece, where VRCK KAZINCBARCIKA will have another shot at winning and eventually qualifying for the 2nd Round of the tournament, yet the Hungarians will lack their fan support, which made a huge difference in the first match-up.

From VRCK Mate Banai, David Szabo and Szabolcs Nemeth scored 18 points each – Banai also attacked with a 70% efficiency.

The best scorer for the guest team was Mitar Djuric, who collected 26 points for PAOK.

Today's games:

Vrck Kazincbaricika - PAOK 2-3 (18-25, 27-25, 30-28, 19-25, 13-15)

ITA M: De Cecco has contract with Lube in his hands, Bruno going in opposite direction?

Not sure this is a smart move on Lube's part. De Cocco is not the level of Bruno, Christenson and Giannelli. Maybe they should outside of Italy for great setter since they forced Christenson out who just signed a 3-year extension with Modena, and Giannelly is not leaving Trentino. Reply

One of, if not the best match ever. Absolutely brilliant play by both sides. Fantastic Final. Reply
