Scotland National Team won the 2019 Small Countries Association Men’s Volleyball Championship.

For the first time in their history, Scotland conquered the SCA Men’s Championship, the biannual tournament recognized by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and organized by one of its zonal associations - Small Countries Division, that has 15 federations under its patronage.

Scotland beat Greenland by a 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-18) on the last day of the tournament that was held in Torshavn, Faroe Islands, and needed one more result to go into their favor. The home national team had to defeat Iceland with a 3-0 or 3-1 in order for Scotland to mathematically secure a gold medal. But in case of a 3-1 win, a set score would be crucial in determining who will win the event. The Faroe Islands prevailed over Iceland by a 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 25-22, 25-22) and set score counts pushed Scotland to lift the trophy, Thus, they became the SCA Championship winners for the first time ever, ending a two-year reign of Luxembourg.

ITA M: De Cecco has contract with Lube in his hands, Bruno going in opposite direction?

Not sure this is a smart move on Lube's part. De Cocco is not the level of Bruno, Christenson and Giannelli. Maybe they should outside of Italy for great setter since they forced Christenson out who just signed a 3-year extension with Modena, and Giannelly is not leaving Trentino. Reply
