CEV CUP W: Ub demolish Ştiinţa and progress to 1/8 finals

ŽOK Ub is the seventh side that put its name in the bracket of the eighth-finals of the 2021 Women’s Volleyball CEV Cup.


Serbia’s ŽOK Ub demolished Romania’s Ştiinţa Bacău in the rematch of the 16th finals of the 2021 Women’s CEV Cup. They hosted both encounters, which were held day after a day, and achieved a straight-set win in both with the fact they did it in an even more convincing way in the second one.

Ub left rivals at single digits in the second set – the final result was 25-20, 25-6, 25-14. Jelena Vulin top-scored Ub with 13 points. Sanja Trivunović served 6 aces, while Aleksandra Gligorić had an 85 % attack (11/13).

Czech’s VK Šelmy Brno and Croatia’s Mladost Zagreb gained an upper hand over Kosovo’s KV Drita Gjilan and Czech’s PVK Olymp Praha respectively prior to the rematches tomorrow.

I don’t know. I like Perugia but Leon is not coming to his full potential. If has to play another year with Travica and/or Oleh then he can better leave the club. Aleksander is already leaving the club and that is horrible for SIR but yet again if he wants to play and live in Perugia than that’s it. But if he wants te achieve bigger thing Ian live with volleyball than he should leave. Reply
