Savino Del Bene Scandicci were close to what no women’s volleyball team could do in more than a year – to beat A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano. But...

Even though they led twice in sets and had a 9-5 in the tie-break, Scandicci failed to down Imoco in the all-Italian derby of the 1st leg of the 2021 CEV Women’s Volleyball Champions League playoff. The Conegliano side prevailed in a spectacular battle and reached a huge milestone – the 50th win in a row in all competitions. The last time they lost the match was on December 12, 2019!

Paola Egonu staged a monstrous performance, scoring 38 points, including as many as 7 of the team’s 21 blocks. The Pole Magdalena Stysiak put down 28 points on the losing side.

TUR W: Thai star Ajcharaporn continues career in Turkey

Re: @Nobody Cares She's 26 and her dream to come play in Europe stopped in a 12-placed team??? Ajcharaporn could have had many other better choices, even to play in a European Cup in a Romanian team. Her agency is so incompetent! Now she'll play against relegation :( So sad!
