China, the reigning champions, will try to reach the Olympic Games from Pool B, where the rivals will be Turkey, Germany and the Czech Republic.
The World Champions Serbia are in the Pool A along with Puerto Rico, Thailand and Poland.
Women’s Olympic qualifications pools:
Pool A: Serbia, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Poland
Pool B: China, Turkey, Germany, Czech Republic
Pool C: USA, Argentina, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan
Pool D: Brazil, Dominican Republic, Cameroon, Azerbaijan
Pool E: Russia, Korea, Canada, Mexico
Pool F: The Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Kenya
The winners of the Pools will take the tickets for the Olympic games volleyball tournament. This won’t be the only chance to qualify for the Olympic Games as there will be continental qualification tournaments in 2020.
