FIVB confirms match schedule of volleyball tournaments at Tokyo Olympics

The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has unveiled the match schedule for the men’s and women’s volleyball tournaments of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

 

The final of the women’s volleyball tournament will be one of the events that will close all sports competitions in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

According to the match schedule and timetable that has been confirmed by the FIVB, volleyball action in the Japanese capital will begin on Day 2 of the Olympics (July 25) with men’s game between Italy and Canada (check out pool’s composition). Just a few hours ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Closing Ceremony, on August 9, volleyball competition will conclude with the women’s final. All volleyball matches of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games will be held at the newly constructed Ariake Arena.

I think this was the best decision for the club. With only having 2 foreigner spots, the setter position was the easier position to let go. I think Lokomotiv will transfer a foreign OPP in place. Reply
