Slovenia staged a huge comeback against France on Day 8 of the 2021 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League.

In an exciting match of the eighth round of the 2021 Men’s VNL in the Rimini bubble (Italy) in which they came back from two sets down, the Slovenia National Team beat France to consolidate at the top four in the charts. Slovenia broke the French spell given that it lost all matches at major tournaments against this rival since 2015. Rok Možič led the winning side with 20 points. Klemen Čebulj set up 4 blocks.

Serbia broke the resistance of Iran after five sets. The team coached by Vladimir Alekno was up by 1-0 and 2-1 in sets, but the reigning European champion managed to turn it around and win two points: 3-2 (21-25, 25-15, 26-28, 25-22, 15-7). Dražen Luburić top-scored Serbia with 23 points, while Marko Podraščanin made 8 blocks by which he tied the competition single-game record in this segment set by American Maxwell Holt in 2019.

GRE W: Suspended Korean player Lee Da-Yeong going to play in Greece

Excited to see Dayeong venture out to an overseas league to grow as a player! Since the Greece league is weaker than the Korean league, it'll be an opportunity to see if she can step up to the plate to lead her team as a setter, while also showing herself to other leagues for future seasons.

The twins were indefinitely suspended after the accusations made towards them about what they did back during elementary school, but they're currently in the midst of a court investigation process to prove that most of the accusations made against them were false (they acknowledged some of them and had apologized immediately & publicly for those).
Once that is resolved - hopefully soon, she should have no issues going abroad.

Heard rumours that PAOK is also looking for a foreign OH, and is looking at signing her twin sister Jaeyeong together with her as a package.
I sure hope that is true and will come to pass as well! Will be additionally fun seeing them play together, and they can rely on one another in a new foreign environment. Reply

VNL W: Preliminary stage over - China put end to USA’s invincibility, 6 players say farewell to Thailand National Team

Bless the Thai players. They share much blood, sweat and tears, many tears. They were robbed of an Olympic birth from an incompetent ref that will haunt them for the rest of their life. Reply
