GER W: Rivers continues to impress, Stuttgart victoriously open playoff finals against Schwerin

Allianz MTV Stuttgart gained upper hand over SSC Palmberg Schwerin in the best-of-five playoff finals of the 2018/19 German Women’s Volleyball Championship.

 

The top seed Stuttgart victoriously opened the series of the 2018/19 1. Bundesliga Frauen playoff finals against No.2 seed and also the reigning champions Schwerin: 3-1 (25-21, 21-25, 25-23, 25-23). This is the third straight gold medal matchup between these two sides in the national league with Schwerin prevailing in the last two seasons and in this season’s national Cup.

The American opposite hitter Krystal Rivers does not stop to amaze in Bundesliga. She scored 21 points for Stuttgart today. A 21-year-old Kimberly Drewniok top-scored for Schwerin, while Croatian Beta Dumančić set up four kill blocks.

FRA M: Ngapeth has a question for the FIVB

Organisation of OG Qualification in Poland reminds me WCh2014 as far as a timetable, referees.. It is enough to compare all schedules of home NT with other qualification groups.. Poland NT is probably currently the strongest NT in men volleyball in the world, and it does not need any such a trick... Of course, it indicates also the role of FIVB, which is orientated mainly on a profit... Reply

FRA M: Ngapeth has a question for the FIVB

um...did he protest as loudly during Italian tournaments in the past? really, if Poland was playing this tournament in France, we would have as unreasonable schedule as they had and, we too, would complain, but what does it matter? FIVB accepted the schedule, so Ngapeth can only blame his own federation for not fighting for this tournament's organization rights more. Reply
