OQT W: Koslowski announces 14-player squad of Germany national team

Germany national team head coach Felix Koslowski made a decision on the composition that will play the upcoming FIVB Women’s Volleyball International Qualifier for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (August 1-4).

By becoming runners-up in the Governor’s Cup in Kaliningrad (Russia), a few days ago, Germany have completed preparations for the upcoming Olympic Qualifications in which they will play Pool B, in Ningbo, against the hosts China, Turkey and the Czech Republic.

This is the roster that Koslowski has chosen for the International Qualifier:

Setters: Denise Hanke, Pia Kästner

Opposite hitters: Kimberly Drewniok, Louisa Lippmann

Liberos: Linda Bock, Anna Pogany

Middle blockers: Lisa Gründing, Marie Schölzel, Leonie Schwertmann, Camilla Weitzel

Outside hitters: Nele Barber, Jennifer Geerties, Jana-Franziska Poll, Lena Stigrot

FIVB Women’s Volleyball International Qualifier for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics – tournaments:

Pool A (Wrocław, Poland): Serbia, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Poland.

Pool B (Ningbo, China): China, Turkey, Germany, Czech Republic.

Pool C (Shreveport, USA): USA, Argentina, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan.

Pool D (Uberlândia, Brazil): Brazil, Dominican Republic, Cameroon, Azerbaijan.

Pool E (Kaliningrad, Russia): Russia, Korea, Canada, Mexico.

Pool F (Catania, Italy): Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Kenya.
