In front of 1800 spectators they beat Netzhoppers KW Bestensee 3-1 (22-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-20) “This was a typical first game with many ups and downs,” said Thomas Kocian of SWD powervolleys Duren, “In the end, it’s important that we win.”

“We have a lot of work to do. There were too many simple mistakes. But it was our first game. Netzhoppers have already played one match. So, there’s not much to complain about in the end”, said Tim Broshog, who was selected as MVP of the match. In the SWD Powervolleys Duren the top scorer was Sebastian Gevert with 23 points. Adam Casey Schouten and Dirk Westphal were the top scorers for Netzhoppers KW Bestensee with 15 points each.

WWK Volleys Herrsching played a great match on Thursday and were close to making a big surprise. Despite two match balls in a match against Hypo Tirol Alpenvolleys Haching, the final score was 2-3 (25-23, 25-22, 25-27, 18-25, 11-15). Tim Peter and Jalen Penrose scored 15 points each for WWK Volleys Herrsching. Hypo Tirol Alpenvolleys Haching top scorer was Douglas Duarte Souza Da Silva with 28 points.
