GRE M: Olympiacos tie semifinal series against Foinikas at 1-1

Olympiacos S.F.P. defeated A.O. Foinikas Syros ONEX in straight sets in Game 2 of the 2019/20 Greek men’s volleyball Championship playoffs and tied the series at 1-1.


Improving efficiency in attack and with a significantly fewer number of errors, the top seed Olympiacos beat the fourth-seed Foinikas by a 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-19) to tie the semifinal series of the 2019/20 Volley League Pame Stoixima playoffs at 1-1. Both teams will seek progression to the finals in Game 3 that will take place on Saturday, July 4.

Rafail Koumentakis top-scored for Olympiacos with 14 points, while Slovenian Žiga Štern made 11 points for Foinikas.

Cannes' roster for next season doesn't seem to be THAT focused on young talent IMO. Don't see a difference to other clubs in this regard. Their main problem seems to be the decreasing interest of people in the club, a lack of (new) supporters to attend their home matches. Reply
