The Italian Women’s Volleyball top division side Il Bisonte Firenze will keep their captain Laura Dijkema, the 2017 CEV EuroVolley Best Setter, for one more season.

Il Bisonte Firenze announced the contract renewal with Laura Dijkema for the 2019/20 season. It will be the third season of a 29-year-old Dutch setter wearing the jersey of the Italian league top division team. She did not play the entire first season in Il Bisonte as she arrived at the Florence based club in January 2018.

Dijkema’s name is on the 30-player preliminary list of the Dutch national team for the 2019 FIVB Nations League composed by the head coach Jamie Morrison.

At the same time, Il Bisonte parted ways with libero Beatrice Parrocchiale who signed a two-year deal with Saugella Team Monza.

ITA M: De Cecco has contract with Lube in his hands, Bruno going in opposite direction?

Not sure this is a smart move on Lube's part. De Cocco is not the level of Bruno, Christenson and Giannelli. Maybe they should outside of Italy for great setter since they forced Christenson out who just signed a 3-year extension with Modena, and Giannelly is not leaving Trentino. Reply
