ITA M: Lube beat Modena after 135 minutes, Trentino continue their run – 14th in row

Cucine Lube Civitanova defeated Leo Shoes Modena by a 3-2 (25-20, 28-30, 25-19, 16-25, 15-10) in the Italian men’s club volleyball classic.

Lube defeated big rivals Modena in the 19th round of the 2020/21 Italian Men’s SuperLega Credem Banca regular season in a match that lasted for as many as 135 minutes. Thus, the reigning champions approached within 3 points of leaders Sir Safety Conad Perugia, while Modena remained sixth in the charts.

Cuban-Brazilian Yoandy Leal led four Lube players who had double digits in scoring, tallying 18 points. Simone Anzani set up 4 blocks, while Cuban Robertlandy Simón had a 71 % attack (10/14). Luca Vettori scored 19 points for Modena. Daniele Mazzone had a 75 % attack (12/16).
