ITALIAN CUP W: Imoco conquer competition for 3rd time, Egonu chalks up 37 points

Imoco Volley Conegliano prevailed over Igor Gorgonzola Novara in the classic valid for the title in the 2021 Italian Women’s Volleyball Cup.

Imoco wrote down another chapter of the club history. The Conegliano side won their 11th trophy, the 3rd national cup.

In the final of the 2021 Italian Women’s Coppa Italia Frecciarossa in Rimini, the team coached by Daniele Santarelli beat Novara by a 3-1 (25-17, 25-23, 22-25, 25-18) and clinched the competition and defended the title in the competition. Tonight, Imoco noted down the 55th consecutive victory in all competitions to which they were led by dazzling Paola Egonu, who notched 37 points, including 5 aces. Caterina Bosetti scored 15 points for Novara.
