Sir Safety Conad Perugia gained a 1-0 against Cucine Lube Civitanova in the 2017/18 Italian men’s volleyball championship SuperLega playoff finals.

The top-seed Perugia took advantage of the home-court factor in Game 1 of the best-of-five 2017/18 SuperLega playoff finals against No.2 Lube. And it was absolutely expected, knowing the fact Perugia lost only one game this season at their PalaEvangelisti gymnasium. Tonight, it was 3-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-18, 25-23).

The Serbian Aleksandar Atanasijević “woke up” after struggling to find a good pace in the semifinals against Diatec Trentino and poured in 20 points for Perugia. Simone Anzani added 4 kill blocks. Osmany Juantorena scored 22 points for Lube.

Game 2, in which Lube will be the hosts, is scheduled in three days.

Something is wrong in Trentino land. Same players as last year but much worse results. Something will have to change soon, either results or coach... Reply

ITA M: Modena conquer Trentino’s home court after 4 years, Perugia record 21st win in a row

This was a terrific match to watch. High level players everywhere. Christenson is having the best year of his career in my opinion. Anderson was good early, Zaytzev was great late amd Holt was automatic in the middle.
Trentino needs a complete lineup soon. Russell was the best player this match for both teams. Whoever is going to get this him next year is going to be lucky.
Can't wait for these playoffs. Reply

Re: @Piker
Yeah, you are right, my bad. They are indeed out already, won matches matter. I don't see Roeselare losing to Vojvodina. Reply
