JPN W: Hisamitsu and JT Marvelous keep the winning streaks

Hisamitsu Springs and JT Marvelous have opened 2019 with victories in V-League.

 

The reigning champions Hisamitsu Springs have stayed in the first place after taking the win against Okayama Seagulls 3-1 (23-25, 25-20, 25-9, 25-20).

Arisa Inoue led the team to the win with 23 points, while Foluke Akinradewo scored 21 points.

Mizuki Tanaka (20 points) and Brankica Mihajlovic (19 points) were the top scorers in a 3-0 victory over Kuvera.

Toray Arrows have scored a victory against Ageo Medics. Katarina Barun Susnjar was the best scored with 21 points.

Women’s V-League, round 10:

Hisamitsu Springs – Okayama Seagulls 3-1 (23-25, 25-20, 25-9, 25-20)

Ageo – Toray Arrows 0-3 (19-25, 18-25, 23-25)

Kurobe – JT Marvelous 0-3 (9-25, 16-25, 23-25)

@Suisse thanks for the clarification, yes the Italian league is super strong this year and Russell's playing is getting better, his jump serves are stronger and consistently staying in and his passing has improved. Russell has the ability to switch gears into the next level in big games and tournaments, when it counts. Reply
