JPN M: Panthers keep the winning run, Rouzier stops Muserskiy, Edgar notches season-high scoring display!

Panasonic Panthers are staying in the first place after scoring the third straight victory in the Men’s Japanese League.

 

The first set between these two sides was absolutely amazing. After 82 rallies, Panthers won it to take the lead in the game. 

They defeated Oita Miyoshi on the road and the top scorer was Otake Ikeda with 22 points, while the Polish star added 16 points. In the home team, the Philippines national team player Marck Espejo ended the game with 24 points.

A former French national team member Antonin Rouzier had a good display against the second-placed team in the standings, creating a second straight loss for Dmitry Muserskiy. The French opposite scored 22 points, while the Russian star had 21 points.

In a 3-1 win over Gosei Trefuerza, Tomas Edgar has scored 41 points for JT Thunders which is a season-high scoring display for the Australian giant. On the other side, Igor Omrcen had 21 points.

Men’s Japanese League, 15th round:

Toray Arrows – Suntory Sunbirds 3-0 (25-23, 29-27, 25-20)

JTEKT – Osaka 1-3 (22-25, 25-15, 22-25, 14-25)

FC Tokyo – Nagano 3-1 (25-18, 17-25, 25-23, 25-23)

Oita Miyoshi – Panasonic Panthers 1-3 (40-42, 19-25, 25-20, 21-25)

JT Thunders – Gosei Trefuerza 3-1 (20-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-21)
