OQT M: Hoag picks 14-man roster for Tokyo Qualification Tournament

Canada Men’s national team head coach Glenn Hoag picked the roster that will play the FIVB Volleyball International Qualifier for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (August 9-11).

 

Canada will fight for the top spot in Pool F in Ningbo, China, against the host nation, Argentina and Finland in order to seize the ticket to Tokyo right away and not to wait for continental qualifications in January next year.

Canada’s 14-man roster:

TJ Sanders, Gordon Perrin, Steven Marshall, Nicholas Hoag, Stephen Maar, Jason DeRocco, Sharone Vernon-Evans, Daniel Jansen Vandoorn, Lucas Van Berkel, Ryan Sclater, Graham Vigrass, Blair Bann, Brett Walsh and Adam Schriemer.

Agree on that, they could try getting Toniutti or Marouf, better choices in my opinion that De Cecco. Lube won a few days ago because of De Cecco's bad decisions, Perugia attackers were in much better mood that Lube's. Reply

Not sure this is a smart move on Lube's part. De Cocco is not the level of Bruno, Christenson and Giannelli. Maybe they should outside of Italy for great setter since they forced Christenson out who just signed a 3-year extension with Modena, and Giannelly is not leaving Trentino. Reply
