Tokat Belediye Plevne won the 2019 Men’s Balkan Volleyball Association Cup.

Tokat Belediye Plevne became the seventh Men’s team from Turkey that won the BVA Cup, the competition that was established 11 years ago and is contested by the teams of federations who are members of the Balkan Volleyball Association: Bulgaria, Albania, Turkey, Greece, Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia, Romania and Kosovo.

The 2019 BVA Cup was held in Strumica, North Macedonia, with the participation of KV Prishtina Volley from Kosovo, hosts OK GIO Strumica and ultimate winners Tokat Belediye Plevne. One more team earned a chance to compete in the tournament, Mladi radnik Požarevac (Serbia) but withdrew for political reasons. The Turkish team finished the campaign undefeated. Tokat firstly beat Prishtina by 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-16) and then Strumica with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-20).

By winning the BVA Cup, Tokat booked a ticket to the 2020 CEV Challenge Cup in which they will face Hungarian side VRCK Kazincbarcika in the 2nd Round. Last season, Tokat finished sixth in the Turkish Championship.
