The Serbian Volleyball national Team member Nikola Rosic has experienced the COVID 19 coronavirus by himself and after yesterday’s examination, he has been sent home since his tests showed that he is negative on the corona.

A couple of days ago, he had to face CoronaVirus “one on one” and to start a battle without volleyball equipment. He got the equipment in the hospital “Dragisa Misovic” Belgrade, where the doctors took care of him.

After many wins in volleyball, I was able to win the biggest battle of my life – against the CoronaVirus. After a mild temperature and self-isolation, I had to call for help from the doctors and the test showed I was positive. At that moment I asked myself a million questions, what to do, what will happen next? They told me that my symptoms were milder, telling me also that I will recover quickly with therapy. The doctors are real heroes and I want to thank them for taking care of me and they deserve applause every night. Thank God my family and friends who have been in contact with are feeling good. I am grateful to them for the tremendous support. I am also grateful to God and the great people that I met during my hospital stay, for also having the honor to speak to Bishop Milutin of Valjevo. After two negative tests, I’ve been released home to join my family,” says libero Nikola Rosic.

Recall that French national team member Earvin Ngapeth was also tested positive on Corona, as well as the Cuban international.

It’s important to stay at home in the upcoming days so we avoid spreading the coronavirus. #StayAtHome

ITA M: Serbian Stanković in Modena, won’t compete as foreigner

This is just the proof how long are promises honored in professional volleyball. Last year Lube said that Stankovic, belowed El Capetano, will be coming back next year when he obtain Italian citizenship, he's been with Lube for 10 years, and we want him back. Reply

RUS W: Karpol enters Guinness World Records!

Watching Nikolay Karpol and Yevgeni Trefilov (handball, head coach of the Russia women's national team) during the timeouts always made me feel sorry for these girls and was amusing at the same time. They both created the stereotypical image of a typical Russian coach – a big guy, always unsatisfied and yelling at everyone :) Still they both achieved a lot and it cannot be denied. Reply

Sport Bond in Italian Volleyball (Part 1)

This is very similar to 'foundation rights' for football clubs around the world, well except for the US. In football, Jimmy plays for Club X from age 14 to 17. Then he jumps to SuperClub Y for free. Two years at Super Club Y, Giant Massive Club AA comes in and buys his contract from Super Club Y for $10,000,000!

Super Club Y would have to give a portion of the fee to Club X because of Foundation Rights. These rights stay with the player till age 23 (if I remember correctly from my days working in football).

Volleyball has enough issues with budgets and players making money, that there should be hinderance to player movement after age 18 or maybe 21. Just pay the club $10k per season trained or something like that. (Note- this is top of my head thinking and I am not privy to budgets for players).
