The seven-time Romania men’s volleyball Championship winners ACS Volei Municipal Zalău hired 2019 CEV EuroVolley winner.

Zalău reached an agreement with Serbian Nikola Peković, the gold medalist from the 2019 European Championship, for the next season.

The 30-year-old libero has so far played only in his home country and won the national championship twice, as well as the Cup and Super Cup once apiece - all with Vojvodina NS seme Novi Sad. With them, Peković won the 2015 CEV Challenge Cup. In the last two years, he wore the jersey of Partizan Belgrade.
