A two-time Olympic champion with the Brazil women’s volleyball National Team, Sheilla Castro, will compete in the new US professional league.

The new destination of a famous Brazilian opposite hitter Sheilla will take many people by surprise. The information from the Saque Viagem says that a 37-year-old player, a two-time Olympic Games gold medalist, who recently said goodbye to Itambé/Minas, has chosen to play in the newly formed US pro league!

She allegedly signed the contract with Athletes Unlimited (AU), the organization responsible for the competition that will start at the beginning of 2021. Sheilla’s agent refused to comment on negotiations.

The presence of several players, who have been part of the US National Team (mostly “B” team) in recent years, in the US league is confirmed. Among the biggest highlights of the tournament are certainly Jordan Larson and Karsta Lowe.
