Dr. Ary Graça declared his twelve-point Manifesto showcasing his proposed direction for the future of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball, including key points:

To work with the media in order to provide more publicity for Volleyball, and develop new, creative platforms to promote the sport, especially harnessing digital media channels to attract new, young audiences in new markets;

To “integrate, to integrate, to integrate, so that every affiliated person feels part of the Volleyball Family and demonstrate that Volleyball is an unified sport;

Under Graça’s leadership, the Confederação Brasileira de Voleibol has become a leading national federation in Volleyball and the Brazil men’s team are the current World Champions and the women’s team are the defending Olympic Champions. As President of the Viva Volei Institute in Brazil, Dr. Graça also has extensive experience in developing programmes that harness Volleyball’s core values, having overseen the growth of Viva Volei which now works with 200,000 children across 13 states.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Ary Graça said: “The FIVB World Volleyball League is the perfect environment for me to talk through my Manifesto and campaign as I am surrounded by people who are equally passionate and committed about the sport of Volleyball. I believe that our Manifesto demonstrates the long-term vision that I have for the sport and my dedication to ensure that Volleyball has a flourishing future.
