VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa truly looks sensational in the 2019/20 Polish Men’s Volleyball Championship regular season but they drop one point against underdogs in Round 9.

VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa, reinforced with Belarussian opposite hitter Artur Udrys (recovered from an injury that kept him sidelined from the start of the season), defeated GKS Katowice in Round 9 of the 2019/20 PlusLiga regular season in five sets. With the win, the team from the Polish capital came in second in the standings (9-1; 24 points) and, probably, the only reason why they aren’t in the first place is the fact they played two matches less than the leaders Jastrzębski Węgiel. Bartosz Kwolek top-scored for Warszawa with 21 points. Jakub Jarosz made 25 for Katowice.

The last-placed MKS Będzin recorded their premiere victory in the competition, for which they needed nine games.
