POL W: Ferhat Akbas says goodbye to the Chemik Police

Today, Turkish coach Ferhat Akbas announced his farewell from the Chemik Police. This season, led by Akbas, Chemik Police won a double crown - the national cup and the championship.


Ferhat Akbas is one of the most talented coaches of the younger generation, who is predicted to have a great future and who already has top results. He has collaborated and learned from excellent world coaches such as Lang Ping, Giovanni Guidetti and Massimo Barbolini. Akbas also led the Turkish national team and was the assistant coach of the Japanese national team.

For next season, he is mentioned as the coach of Turkish powerhouse Eczacıbaşı VitrA, where he should succeed Marco Aurelio Motta.
