Ural was one of the teams that had to make a long break from competing in the 2020/21 Superliga Parimatch regular season for men, more particularly a two-week break, due to coronavirus related problems. Upon returning to the competition, the Ufa side swept ASK in Round 9 by a 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-16) and recorded the third successive win.

Canadian John Gordon Perrin and Pole Maciej Muzaj scored 13 points each for Ural. Maksim Kulikov set up 4 blocks, while Roman Bragin had 73 % reception (36 % excellent).

The champions Lokomotiv (Serbian Marko Ivović 14 points, including 4 aces) scored an easy victory over Gazprom-Yugra.

Dinamo-LO (Nikita Alekseev 20 points, Semen Krivitchenko 79 % reception; 43 % excellent) put an end to their own losing streak of three games by beating Yugra-Samotlor with 3-0.
