The Turkish Women’s Volleyball Championship side Türk Hava Yolları has signed an agreement with an Italian coach Marcello Abbondanza.

THY, the team owned by the Turkish Airlines, parted ways with the head coach Suphi Doğancı and appointed famous Italian expert Marcello Abbondanza instead of him.

Abbondanza signed the contract for one and a half years with the team that currently occupies fifth place in the charts of the 2019/20 Vestel Venus Sultanlar Ligi regular season (4-6 and 15 points). Abbondanza has recently ended collaboration with Zanetti Bergamo in his home country.

RUS M: Possible "transfer bomb" - Zenit St. Petersburg wants Wilfredo Leon!?

I don’t know. I like Perugia but Leon is not coming to his full potential. If has to play another year with Travica and/or Oleh then he can better leave the club. Aleksander is already leaving the club and that is horrible for SIR but yet again if he wants to play and live in Perugia than that’s it. But if he wants te achieve bigger thing Ian live with volleyball than he should leave. Reply
