Fenerbahçe extended their magnificent winning streak in the 2019/20 AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi regular season. By beating Arkas in a marathon match (2 hours and 26 minutes) valid for Round 14, the Istanbul side recorded the 10th success in a row and remained at the top of the charts, having 36 points (13-1).
Cuban-born Salvador Hidalgo and Dutchman Wouter Ter Maat scored 50 points combined for Fenerbahçe (27 + 23), while Emre Batur made 5 kill blocks. An incredible team’s blocking display of Arkas (20 kill blocks) was in vain. A defeat to Fenerbahçe, in which Adis Lagumdžija delivered 30 points and Mustafa Koç and Mustafa Cengiz made 5 kill blocks apiece, broke Arkas’ victorious 6-game run.
