Eczacıbaşı VitrA needed to put in extra effort to down Sistem9 Yeşilyurt in the first round of the 2020/21 Turkish women’s volleyball Championship.

Fenerbahçe Opet and VakıfBank were confident in their matches of the first round of the 2020/21 Misli.com Sultanlar Ligi regular season.

Unlike them, Eczacıbaşı VitrA had to work hard to justify the role of the favorites in the match against Sistem9 Yeşilyurt: 3-1 (25-20, 25-17, 24-26, 26-24).

American Jordan Thompson highlighted the “Tigers” with 20 points. Her compatriot, Chiaka Ogbogu, made 4 kill blocks, while Simge Şebnem Aköz made 76 % reception (56 % perfect). Teenagers stood out in Yeşilyurt: Romanian Alexia Căruțașu scored 18 points, while İlayda Uçak set up 4 kill blocks.

Kuzeyboru stunned PTT in the most intense match today: 3-2.

CHN M: Chinese federation gives in to pressure, male foreigners will play Super League

Great news on the Men's Super League. The Women's you referred to in the news is actually not the same with the Super League though. It is a separate tournament roughly called National Championships where the provincial teams compete for the top honour. Women's Super League won't start until much later. If foreign players are allowed in Men's tournament, then it only.makes sense the same would apply to the women's. Let's keep our fingers and toes crossed! Reply
