Fenerbahçe Opet dropped two sets against Karayolları but extended their winning streak in the 2020/21 Turkish Women’s Volleyball Championship.


Fenerbahçe got to the ninth successive win in the 2020/21 Turkish Women’s Misli.com Sultanlar Ligi regular season but only after surviving a thriller against Karayolları in Round 22: 3-2 (25-16, 25-22, 22-25, 23-25, 15-8). Fenerbahçe’s Cuban Melissa Vargas was the top scorer in the match with 31 points.

The leaders VakıfBank (Swede Isabelle Haak 27 points; 5 aces) also achieved a hard-fought win, the fifth in a row, by beating Kuzeyboru in four sets.

Nilüfer Bld. (American Sarah Wilhite 16 points, Yasemin Yıldırım 5 blocks) prolonged their series of victories to four.
