TUR M: Fenerbahçe sweep Halkbank in classic and extend winning streak to 14 games

The series of wins of Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta in the 2020/21 Turkish Men’s Volleyball Championship is still on.

 

Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta swept Halkbank in one of the biggest classics of the Turkish men’s club volleyball. In Round 22 of the 2020/21 Turkish Men’s AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi regular season, the leaders Fenerbahçe prevailed in straight sets, partially 25-22, 25-22, and 25-21, and extended the winning streak in the competition to 14 games. Halkbank remained fourth.

Metin Toy highlighted Fenerbahçe with 21 points. Ulaş Kıyak and Canadian Graham Vigrass set up 4 blocks apiece. Cuban Fernando Hernández top-scored Halkbank with 15 points. Gökhan Gökgöz served 4 aces.

Arkas Spor recorded the fourth successive win as they beat Sorgun Bld. by a 3-0 mostly thanks to Efe Mandıracı (16 points, 75 % attack; 12/16) and Osman Çağatay Durmaz (5 blocks).
