Ziraat Bankkart are the winners of the regular season in the 2020/21 Turkish Men’s Volleyball Championship.

In a direct duel for the no.1 in the regular season of the 2020/21 Turkish Men’s AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi, Ziraat Bankkart beat Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta by a 3-1 (25-23, 26-28, 25-19, 25-20). It was a delayed match valid for the 27th round. Thus, with the 7th win in a row in the competition, the Ankara side secured the top seed for the playoffs as well.

The Dutchman Wouter Ter Maat top-scored Zirrat with 23 points. Bedirhan Bülbül and Aslan Ekşi set up 4 blocks apiece.

Even though they have to play one more match, Fenerbahçe are 6 points behind Ziraat in the charts. The good news for the Istanbul team is that its no.2 for playoffs is sealed.

ITA M: Perugia focused on bringing Grbić

He signed a 2-years contract with Zaksa last year. He won Polish Cup with them, not sure what happened so Zaksa lost the championship. They kicked out Lube and Zenit from the Champions League and have a good chance of becoming European champion although Trentino didn't win anything this year so this is their last chance.
He started his coaching career with Perugia so everything is possible... Reply

USA M: Russell undergoes surgery in US, will miss Tokyo Olympics

Russell had one of the best sports surgeons in the world work on him so I expect he will be in great hands. While devastating for any athlete Russell is young enough to have both Paris and Los Angeles in his Olympic future at very high level.
Piacenza is building something very special there and Russell is a perfect type of player and professional to attract others to come there and build around.
Wishing him a full and speedy recovery. Reply
