Halkbank were crowned Turkish men’s volleyball championship 2017-2018 Efeler Ligi winners.

The top-seed Halkbank won Game 4 of the 2017-2018 Efeler Ligi playoff finals against No.2 Arkas Spor to prevail in the series by a 3-1 and clinch their third straight national title, the ninth overall.

In front of nearly packed stands at their Başkent Voleybol Salonu (6,000 spectators, capacity 7.600), Halkbank beat Arkas by a 3-1 (25-21, 25-21, 20-25, 25-19), mostly thanks to Burutay Subaşı, who scored 21 points (4 aces). The Serbian Nemanja Petrić added 17 points. He also made 4 kill blocks, just as Cuban Raydel Hierrezuelo. In Arkas, Adis Lagumdžija delivered 18 points, including 4 kill blocks.

FRA M: Ngapeth has a question for the FIVB

Organisation of OG Qualification in Poland reminds me WCh2014 as far as a timetable, referees.. It is enough to compare all schedules of home NT with other qualification groups.. Poland NT is probably currently the strongest NT in men volleyball in the world, and it does not need any such a trick... Of course, it indicates also the role of FIVB, which is orientated mainly on a profit... Reply

FRA M: Ngapeth has a question for the FIVB

um...did he protest as loudly during Italian tournaments in the past? really, if Poland was playing this tournament in France, we would have as unreasonable schedule as they had and, we too, would complain, but what does it matter? FIVB accepted the schedule, so Ngapeth can only blame his own federation for not fighting for this tournament's organization rights more. Reply
