We are sure you have made this so many times. Every summer you speak with players or volleyball managers about recruiting the players to come to play for your team. 1. Season’ target

2. Where to search

3. Player’s previous clubs

4. Videos

5. Stats

1. The most important thing to start is to make clear target for your team for that season. Weather you have a one-year or 4-year’s plan, weather you want to remain at the same level of championship or to go up, start with a target that reflects your planned budget for that year.

2. You have two possibilities to search for the volleyball players:

a. To ask around the people you know

b. To contact a volleyball manager/agency.

a. Mostly, volleyball players are recommended by persons who know about the level and availability of volleyball players. People who can recommend you a good player for the money you are going to spend. Those people are usually coaches or ex-coaches, team managers or other volleyball workers. Be ready to re-valuate their opinion in any time.

After you find a potential one, search for volleyball player’s contact details and get in touch with him/her directly.

b. Other possibility you have is to find the contacts of many volleyball managers or agencies that represent volleyball players. There are more than 100 known, although theoretically everybody can be a volleyball manager. Ask them for the list of their available players for the next year that suite your budget.

Remember, the goal of all managers is to sign all their players during the summer before the beginning of the next volleyball championship. They are more interested in your players’ budget than in the quality you are going to get.

3. Browse for player’s history. Try to contact player`s ex club. Their team manager or coach will be really glad to give you an opinion because one day they might be in the same situation like you now.

4. Search for stats. Maybe numbers cannot always give a clear picture, but it’s better that than to have nothing.

5. Find videos of that volleyball player. Pass them to your coach so he can review them and say his opinion. If you still don’t have a coach, get a new one first. Then start building your team.

View full videos, everybody can play volleyball good on a 5-minute’s highlight! Try to find out which game you are looking for, you don’t want to look at the volleyball player, and the one who signs for you is totally another! And this happens also.

Try to avoid misunderstandings before they array. You are going to spend a big amount of money, so why not collect as much information as you can. You want the best for your money, right?
