“We are well prepared for the tournament. We have some minor injuries but it will be fine. There was also a problem with the tendon in the knee of Tsvetan Sokolov, but we managed to fix it and there should not be any problems with the performance at the EuroVolley tournament,” explains Konstantinov.
The first opponent is Russia.
“It’s good that we play the first game against Russia. If we start well, then we have a chance to fight for the first place in the group, but we can’t underestimate Slovenia. We can fight any team. We had a proposal to play friendlies with the Russians, but I refused. If we play fully focused against Spain, we won’t have any problems. Spain is below the level of the other teams in our group. The most difficult thing is to reach the semis, afterward, everything would be possible. We are not afraid of any teams,” says Konstantinov.
